The 11th International Forum on Electrical Engineering and Automation (IFEEA 2024) was successfully concluded on November 22-24 in Shenzhen, China. This conference was technically supported by IEEE Guangzhou Section, hosted by Southern University of Science and Technology, co-organized by Beijing Institute of Technology, Guangdong University of Technology, Institute of Automation of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and AEIC Academic Exchange Information Center.


The three-day conference gathered IEEE/IET Fellows, Academicians of the European Academy of Sciences, and National Jieqing Youth, and attracted more than 150 outstanding scholars from nearly 100 famous universities and colleges such as Beijing Institute of Technology, Zhejiang University, Tongji University, Southeast University, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Sichuan University, Chongqing University, South China Normal University, etc. The conference was organized by the Southern University of Science and Technology, and co-organized by BIT, Guangdong University of Technology, Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and AEIC Academic Exchange Center.

At the opening ceremony, Professor Liu Guoping, an academician of the European Academy of Sciences and the chairman of the conference from Southern University of Science and Technology, served as the host. Professor Lin Zhiyun, an IEEE/IET/AAIA Fellow and the Vice Dean of the School of Automation and Intelligent Manufacturing at Southern University of Science and Technology, delivered an excellent opening speech.

During the conference report session, the conference had the special honor of inviting Professor Li Hanxiong, a National Distinguished Young Scholar and IEEE Fellow from City University of Hong Kong; Professor Zhang Hui, a national-level talent from Hunan University; Professor Liu Honghai, an academician of the European Academy of Sciences, IEEE/IET Fellow from Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen); and Professor Lin Zhiyun, an IEEE/IET/AAIA Fellow and Vice Dean of the School of Automation and Intelligent Manufacturing at Southern University of Science and Technology, to deliver keynote presentations. They each conducted a series of engaging talks related to the conference theme, sharing the latest research findings and experiences in the fields of electrical engineering and automation, as well as their unique insights into industry development trends and R&D directions, which sparked strong interest and lively discussions among the attending experts and scholars. 


In the afternoon, four parallel sessions featuring oral presentations and poster displays were held simultaneously. Chairpersons and hosts for these sessions included Xue Shan from Hainan University, Wu You from Changsha University of Science and Technology, Zhang Yongwei from South China Agricultural University, Zhang Shunchao from Guangdong University of Finance, and Lin Mingduo from Southern University of Science and Technology. Twenty experts and scholars from institutions such as Harbin Institute of Technology, Sichuan University, South China Normal University, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Chongqing University, Shandong University, and Huaqiao University gave oral presentations. Additionally, 18 scholars showcased their latest research outcomes and innovative ideas through poster displays, engaging in in-depth interactive discussions with the conference attendees.
